Gauja National park and Valmiera is present at tourism exhibitions in Finland and Spain  


This week Gauja National park, including Valmiera, gains popularity in tourism exhibitions in Finland and Spain. These are just two tourism exhibitions, where Gauja National park, the municipalities that are in the park and the brand “Enter Gauja” will be presented this year.


From 17th till 19th of January international tourism exhibition “Fitur 2018” was held in Spain. In the first days of the exhibition industry professionals were welcomed to networking events in order to find new contacts in further cooperation, but after that everyone was accepted to attend.
But international tourism exhibition “Matka 2018” was held in Finland from 19th till 21st where countries and organisations from all around the world were present and more than 72 thousand people attend this event annually.
The municipalities in Gauja National park – Sigulda, Cesis, Valmiera, Ligatne, Amata, Pargauja, Koceni, Priekuli, Incukalns from 2012 are implementing Gauja National park strategy as a complete tourism destination with the brand “Enter Gauja”. This year the brand and municipalities will be presented in tourism exhibitions in the Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Lithuania, Estonia and Germany.
Participation in these tourism exhibitions is organised in cooperation with Investment and Development Agency of Latvia and European Regional Development Fund.
