24 international students start their studies in VUAS 


This study year 24 students from 12 states, including France, Spain, Turkey, Netherlands, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Molova, Kirgizstan and Albania are studying in Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (VUAS).


International students, who will study in various study programs, mostly came to Valmiera for only one study semester. During this time they will not only learn their chosen courses, but also Latvian language and culture. During the introductory week from August 29 to September 1 students met with the rector of VUAS, directors of the study courses and deans. They also were introduced to the opportunities offered by VUAS, met VUAS Student Union, as well as visited university buildings - study classrooms, library, and attended the first introductory lectures to better penetrate the university environment. During this week the international students, together with their mentors participated in various gathering events, including the international food event, where everyone presented their country's traditional dishes and drinks.
