Ambassador of Israel to Latvia visits Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences

On Thursday, March 29 Ambassador of Israel to Latvia Hagit Ben-Yaakov visited Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. The Ambassador gave a lecture, opened a photo exhibition „Save a Child’s Heart” and had a meeting with the Rector of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences Vija Daukšte.

The lecture of Ms. Hagit Ben-Yaakov „Contemporary Israel: Regional Challenges” was organized as a part of the study course „Politics and Religion: Middle East” developed by lecturer Tatyana Bogushevic.

After the lecture the Ambassador opened an exhibition „Save a Child’s Heart” that displays children of various age, gender and race from all over the world. These children, as well as 2400 others are united by the fact that they have been given a second chance to live by the Israeli doctors, nurses and medical support staff from the movement Save a Child’s Heart – SACH.

Ms. Hagit Ben-Yaakov also visited Valmiera Integrated Library and disscused with Ms. Vija Daukšte study programms and international cooperation at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences.
